Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to healthcare, complementary to other medical practices. It is suitable for almost anyone and it can contribute to alleviating an enormous range of conditions.
Claire completed a 4 year undergraduate degree in 2005. All osteopaths are registered with the GOSc (General Osteopathic Council) is our state regulating body. They ensure we meet a strict fitness to practice and code of practice criteria. Osteopaths must also complete extra hours annually to meet CPD requirements.
Osteopathy can treat a wide variety of problems including:
- Acute & chronic back pain
- Joint pain
- Muscle spasms
- Arthritic pain
- Migrane prevention
- Neuralgic pain (nerve pain)
- Minor sports injuries
- Pain related to pregnancy
- Cervicogenic headaches (headaches arising from the neck)
- Frozen shoulder, Tennis and Golfers elbow arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck
If you are unsure if osteopathy can help you please contact us.
Osteopathy focuses on detecting and treating problems within the musculo-skeletal system (the bones, muscles, joints, ligaments and connective tissues) and the way in which this inter-relates to the body as a whole. When the body is balanced and efficient, just like a well tuned engine, it will function with the minimum of wear and tear, leaving more energy for living.
Osteopaths consider each person as an individual. Utilising a highly developed sense of touch, they identify problem areas of the body. Using gentle stretching and mobilising techniques as well as manipulating joints, an osteopath works with the body to create the perfect conditions to facilitate the healing process.
